Top 10 Women, Children's Rights Protection Cases Publicized in Hainan
May 2, 2023
The Information Office of Hainan Province (in South China) on March 8 (International Women's Day) held a news conference, during which Hainan Women's Federation, the Politics and Law Committee, under the Hainan Provincial Party (Communist Party of China) Committee, Hainan Provincial Higher People's Court, Hainan Provincial People's Procuratorate, and various other organizations, released the list of the province's top 10 women and children's rights protection cases. The event was held in Haikou, capital of Hainan Province.
Selection of the cases highlighted the achievements of legal organizations and women's federations, at all levels in the province, in protecting women and children's rights and interests during the past several years. Some of the cases involved infringements of women's personal rights, their rights in marriage and family, and their rights and interests relating to work or property. Other cases involved domestic violence against women and children and infringement of minors' personal rights.
